1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern enrollment in and use of any course, program or workshop offered by Precision AGL Academy ("the Academy", "we", "us", "our"), a specialized Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) training platform operated by Rahul Sharma. "You" or "participant" refers to anyone who enrolls in, accesses, or attends an Academy program. By enrolling in a program, submitting payment, or accessing course content, you agree to be bound by these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or enrolling with the involvement of a parent/guardian or sponsoring employer, and otherwise capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law, to enroll.
2. Our Programs
The Academy offers several categories of programs, each with its own format, duration and fee, as described on the relevant program page at the time of enrollment:
- Micro Courses — short, focused online modules (typically 2–5 hours) on a single AGL topic.
- Professional & Specialist Programs — online courses (typically 20–50 hours) covering a defined AGL subject area such as electrical systems, design, or automation.
- Flagship Programs — including the Advanced AGL Design & Compliance Program, AGL Photometry Specialist Program, and Airport Lighting Maintenance Engineer Program.
- Master Diploma in Airfield Ground Lighting Engineering — a comprehensive, multi-month online diploma-level program.
- Hands-On & On-Site Workshops — in-person, multi-day programs involving live field work and real equipment exposure, described further in Section 5.
- Corporate AGL Certification Program — a customized, organization-level on-site training and certification track, described further in Section 6.
Current program fees, durations and curricula are listed on the respective program pages and are subject to change for future enrollments as described in Section 11.
3. Enrollment & Payment
Enrollment is confirmed only once full payment (or the agreed installment, where offered) is received and acknowledged by the Academy. Fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (₹) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Program start dates, formats (online or on-site) and access windows are as described on the relevant program page at the time of enrollment. A confirmed seat on any program — particularly workshops and the Corporate Certification Program, which have limited capacity — is not guaranteed until payment is received.
4. Course Access & Delivery
Unless otherwise stated for a specific program, online course access (Micro Courses, Professional/Specialist Programs, Flagship Programs and the Master Diploma) is provided for 12 months from the date of enrollment. Access is for your individual, personal use only. The Academy may suspend access for accounts found to be sharing login credentials, allowing unauthorized third-party access, or redistributing course material.
Hands-On & On-Site Workshops and the Corporate AGL Certification Program are event-based: they do not carry a 12-month (or any ongoing) access window. Attendance is on the fixed date(s) confirmed at enrollment, and any material provided afterward is for reference only, not an extension of an access period.
5. Hands-On & On-Site Workshops
Workshops such as the Live Airport Photometry Workshop, Airport Site Visit Program and Airport Design Bootcamp involve in-person attendance, and in some cases access to live airport or airfield-adjacent environments. The following additional terms apply:
- Travel & accommodation. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific workshop, travel to the venue, accommodation and subsistence are the participant's own responsibility and are not included in the workshop fee.
- Third-party premises. Where a workshop takes place at an airport, airfield or other third-party facility, access is subject to that facility's own security clearance, identification, and site-access procedures, which are outside the Academy's control. The Academy is not responsible for delays or denial of access caused by the facility's own security or regulatory requirements, and cannot guarantee entry for any participant who does not meet the facility's requirements.
- Safety & site conduct. Participants must follow all airside/airfield safety instructions, wear any required personal protective equipment, and comply with the facility's and the Academy's safety instructions at all times. The Academy or the host facility may refuse entry, or remove a participant from the site, for safety or conduct reasons.
- Minimum enrollment. A workshop may be rescheduled or, in limited cases, cancelled if minimum enrollment numbers are not met; see Section 8 for what happens to fees paid in that case.
6. Corporate Training Programs
The Corporate AGL Certification Program and other group/corporate training arrangements are customized for the enrolling organization based on scope, dates, headcount and location agreed in advance, typically by separate written confirmation (quotation, email confirmation or agreement) between the Academy and the organization. Where anything in that separate confirmation conflicts with these Terms for a corporate engagement, the specific written confirmation takes precedence. Sections 3 through 5 above apply to corporate programs except where superseded in that way.
7. Certificates
Certificates issued on successful completion of a program are Academy-issued certificates of completion, specific to the program completed (for example, a Master Diploma certificate, a workshop certificate, or a corporate program certificate). They are not government, university, or ICAO/FAA accreditations, licenses, or endorsements, and do not by themselves authorize a participant to perform regulated work at any airport. See our Standards Disclaimer for details, and our Certificate Verification page to verify a certificate.
8. Rescheduling, Cancellations & Refunds
Requests to reschedule or cancel an enrollment, and the fees (if any) that are refundable in each case, are governed by our separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. If the Academy reschedules or cancels a program — including a workshop that does not meet minimum enrollment — participants will be offered an alternative date or a refund/credit as set out in the Refund Policy.
9. Intellectual Property
All course content — including video lectures, study material, design/calculation templates, drawings, assignments, and workshop materials — is the intellectual property of Precision AGL Academy or its instructor and is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial learning use only. Reproduction, resale, public sharing or redistribution of course content, in whole or in part, without written permission is not permitted and may result in termination of access without refund.
10. Conduct & Academic Integrity
Participants are expected to engage respectfully with instructors and fellow participants, both online and at any in-person workshop, and to submit their own work for assignments, projects and assessments. The Academy reserves the right to withhold a certificate, remove a participant from a program (including an on-site workshop), or terminate access, in cases of academic dishonesty, harassment, unsafe conduct, or misuse of the platform or workshop environment.
11. Changes to Programs
The Academy may update course content, schedules, instructors, curriculum modules or delivery format from time to time to keep programs current with industry practice and standards. Material changes affecting participants already enrolled in a program will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible. Changes to future program pricing or curriculum do not affect participants who have already enrolled under the terms in effect at the time of their enrollment.
12. Standards & Educational-Use Notice
Course content references publicly available standards for educational purposes, including ICAO Annex 14 / Doc 9157, FAA AC 150/5340 & AC 150/5345 series, and relevant Indian specifications. These references are provided to teach how such standards are structured and applied; they are summaries and interpretations for learning purposes, not a substitute for the current, officially published standard. Always verify against the latest officially published documents before using them on a live project.
13. Limitation of Liability
Course content — including design methods, calculations, checklists, templates and workshop exercises — is provided for educational and professional development purposes only. The Academy, its instructor, and its staff are not liable for decisions made or actions taken based on course content in real airport, airfield or project settings. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Academy's total liability for any claim arising from a program is limited to the fee paid by the participant for that specific program. Always verify against current official standards, applicable law, and your employer's or client's own procedures before applying anything learned on a live project.
14. Indemnity
For Hands-On & On-Site Workshops and any program involving access to an airport, airfield or third-party facility, the participant agrees to follow all safety instructions given by the Academy and the host facility, and to indemnify the Academy against claims arising from the participant's own failure to follow those instructions or from the participant's willful misconduct, to the extent permitted by applicable law. This does not limit any liability the Academy would otherwise have for its own negligence.
15. Force Majeure
The Academy is not liable for any delay, rescheduling or cancellation of a program caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including but not limited to airport/airfield access restrictions, extreme weather, pandemic or public health restrictions, government or regulatory action, strikes, or other events of force majeure. Where reasonably possible, the Academy will offer an alternative date or apply the Refund Policy referenced in Section 8.
16. Website Use & Third-Party Links
Our website and its content are provided for informational and enrollment purposes. Pages may link to third-party websites, standards bodies, or resources for reference; the Academy does not control and is not responsible for the content or availability of third-party sites.
17. Privacy
Information collected during enrollment and website use is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or an Academy program will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India, and you irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of those courts.
19. Changes to These Terms
The Academy may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new program formats or legal requirements. The version in effect at the time of your enrollment governs that enrollment; the "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
20. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Refund Policy, Privacy Policy and Standards Disclaimer referenced above and any written confirmation issued for a specific program, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Academy for that program, superseding any prior discussions about it.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
No waiver. If the Academy does not enforce a provision of these Terms on a particular occasion, that does not waive its right to enforce it on any other occasion.
Assignment. You may not transfer your enrollment or rights under these Terms to another person without the Academy's prior written consent. The Academy may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganization of its business, provided your rights under these Terms are not materially diminished.
21. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be directed to the Academy via the contact page.
