Cable, Connector & Circuit Records
The 25 forms that establish complete electrical-circuit traceability for the AGL system — from cable procurement, drum and identification through route, installation, jointing, termination, connector control, testing, series-circuit topology, energization, fault history, modification, isolation, restoration and final circuit history. This is the master traceability and lifecycle-record layer for every AGL series circuit, because a single fault on one primary cable, joint, connector or transformer can affect an entire operational section. It integrates strongly with Divisions 02, 04, 06, 08, 09, 11, 12, 13 and 14.
Where this fits — Division 16 is the electrical backbone of the AGL documentation system: cable schedule and drum register feed installation and route records, which feed jointing, termination and connector control, which feed testing and series-circuit topology, which feed energization, fault management, modification, isolation/restoration, and ultimately the master Circuit History Register — the single lifecycle record for every runway, taxiway or apron series circuit.

Q5What is the Series Circuit Record and the Circuit History Register?
The Series Circuit Record (CIR-11) establishes the complete topology of an AGL series circuit and is described on the page as one of the most important records in the division. The Circuit History Register (CIR-25) is the master historical record of every AGL series circuit.
Q6What is the difference between the Cable Schedule, Cable Drum Register, Cable Identification, Cable Laying and Cable Route records?
The Cable Schedule (CIR-01) is the master schedule of primary and secondary cables. The Cable Drum Register (CIR-02) gives traceability from delivery through installation, and the Cable Identification Record (CIR-03) establishes unique identification of each installed cable. The Cable Laying Record (CIR-04) documents actual installation, and the Cable Route Record (CIR-05) establishes each cable's physical route and location.
Q7Which forms control circuit isolation, restoration and energization?
The Circuit Isolation Record (CIR-23) establishes controlled isolation of a circuit before maintenance, modification or emergency work, and the Circuit Restoration Record (CIR-24) documents its safe return to service. The Circuit Energization Record (CIR-14) records every controlled energization after installation, maintenance, isolation or testing.
Q8Can the forms in Division 16 be downloaded and filled in?
Yes. Each form has a Download as Word button that produces an uncontrolled sample Word template with letterhead, a document-control block, ruled entry fields and a three-tier approval table, ready to print or fill on-screen. The forms can also be searched by keyword or form ID.
Q9How does Division 16 connect to the rest of the AGL documentation system?
Division 16 is the electrical backbone of the documentation system. The cable schedule and drum register feed installation and route records, which feed jointing, termination and connector control, then testing and series-circuit topology, then energization, fault management, modification and isolation records. It lets virtually every failure, maintenance event and commissioning activity be traced back to a specific circuit, cable, joint, connector, transformer or fixture location.
RECORD THE CIRCUIT. UNDERSTAND THE ARCHITECTURE.
A cable and connector record tells you what's connected — but real competence means understanding series-circuit architecture, loop resistance, L-823 connector integrity and how a single bad joint can take down an entire circuit.
